Heavy and Expensive Rod

Purchased rod to replace my Ambush that broke while fishing. I wanted a bit more length so I went with the 7'3 Ascent. Unfortunately it is only available as a Medium-Fast. Given the price point, I figured it would still be a light and superior rod with great casting ability compared to the Ambush I had. I used it for the 1st time today and the rod is significantly heavier than the Ambush and also much less sensitive to strikes. Not the right rod for me. This is the most expensive rod I have ever purchased and is now my least favorite. I fish the Bays/Flats with light tackle.

Great sensitivity

The Ascent rods are a very good rod at a great price .The sensitivity is remarkable . I used this rod for a heavy dropshot rod and first fish caught on it was a 8lbs 12 oz bass handled the fish great .Highly recommend .
