Bought it in my first attempt to BFS. Paired with a Curado BFS. Been testing a lot, different reels, lines, and lures. I’d say that it is certainly on the heavy side of the BFS. Some would argue that it’s not even BFS. I don’t care. I care about how it’s fish.
And it fish Great..! Has a nice profile, nice components put together. It handled all the fish I got so far ( unfortunately I haven’t booked any monster yet).
I like the action, great general purpose. I was even able to cast some lighter lures than what the specs recommend.
I liked and trust the company enough to place another order. A Buoyancy.

really like the rod.should of got medium fast for more back bone for large bass.but love the rod.

I hooked up on a 50 lb bull drum while trout fishing and landed it with his rod. That fight put this rod through **** and it's no worse for where. It's worth noting that I've broken rods in the past (non-fishing accident) and old 18 honored their warranty.

Got the rod to try out bfs fishing for the first time and it works really well. Able to cast 1/16 oz crappie jigs even tho the rod is rated for 3/16 as the lowest.

I’ve used this rod to throw 1/16 ounce Ned rigs and the performance has been great. It loads up and throws those light baits very well. The sensitivity is great and the taper is perfect. The tip is lively enough to throw even lighter baits and the butt section is strong enough to aid when fighting fish.
