I cannot say enough about this rod I paired this with the Shimano ci-4 that is a perfect marriage I’m a saltwater kayak fisherman and let me tell you this rod gets it done I was pounding the flounders in the Bay trolling off the bottom with a paddle tail no problem pulling them i in the yak!r great strength put a popping cork on it fishing for reds and trout can’t go wrong topwater lures awesome I love the tip sensitivity and this is one strong. Perfect to catch a variety of fish but I love tackling them big donkeys on a medium fast rod. old 18 great company I love what these guys are doing I bought another rod but unfortunately before I could fish it my kayak flip lost the rod and reel (tears) but I’m coming back for you soon as I save up a little money! Veteran proud!
