Great finesse rod

I’ve used this rod to throw 1/16 ounce Ned rigs and the performance has been great. It loads up and throws those light baits very well. The sensitivity is great and the taper is perfect. The tip is lively enough to throw even lighter baits and the butt section is strong enough to aid when fighting fish.

Pond hopping

So far have only used standing on the bank, first cast first bass. Later I took rod to work and fished for twenty minutes and caught three bass. So far it has been to much fun, can’t wait to get out in kayak. As a retired submarine chief I was more than happy to support Old18.

Great rod

I have bought this rod and have paired it up with a scorpion bfs. The rod feels quality built, and I have caught a few fish on it already! Great for lures from 1/8 oz. up to 3/8 oz. Speedy shipping; definitely worth the money!

Very nice BFS Rod

The build quality is Excellent, Night and Day difference from the other rods I have. It’s my first USA made rod I own. Rod is very lite in hand and super sensitive. It cast crappie jigs and small rebel minnows with easy. Very happy with my purchase!

Awesome rod

The rod could easily be priced higher and right there with the more expensive rods. I chose a 7’ light and it’s perfect. I may have to order and ultra light too. I fishing 1/4oz jig heads with 15# braid and it’s casts as I had hoped.

Ascent 6'6" medium spinning rod.

Love the rod. Shorter handle ideal for use on the kayak or jonboat. Excellent sensitivity. Plenty of backbone for larger fish!

Very versatile rod

Great built rod , I have used this rod for a lot of different applications and it has performed outstanding . Has light enough tip too throw lighter baits but enough backbone to handle big fish .

Sensitive, light but still has backbone!

Can't say enough good things about this fishing rod. I absolutely love throwing it as do my envious friends! This rod gives me the ability to actually cast 1/16 oz lures a reasonable distance and how it performs with a 1/8 oz lure is unquestioningly, as good as it gets!
When it comes to rod sensitivity, I honestly don't know how it could be improved. The smallest of bumps, nudges and touches will be felt through this rod giving me an advantage in quicker hook sets and/or hook sets requiring a greater degree of finesse.
The rods light weight makes it comfortable for long periods of casting and although the rod is light in weight and offers great sensitivity, it has had more than enough "backbone" to properly hook, play, catch and release numerous 28 inch + redfish!

Ascent rod

Another well balanced rod. I use this rod for my Carolina rig. This rod loads well and got enough back bone to bring them to the boat. Definitely one to add to your line up of rods
