My husband absolutely LOVES his new rod, & the owners were so great to work with! Will be buying again!!!!
This rod is a must have for drop shotting or spy baits. Tough enough to throw a 1.5 oz drop shot weight for them big northern smallmouth, but light and delicate enough for spy baits through skinny grass.
Wow, this rod is incredible. Two of my favorite companies in one, and perfect for the small swim baits I love to throw with enough backbone to consistently set the hook. I’d say get one, but I got the last one… hopefully they’ll make something like this again soon, but in the meantime, I’m also very happy with my suppressor.
Looks really nice on the old 18 7' kinetic ultra light with a Bates Salty Hundo. And a 7'3" kinetic medium heavy with a Shimano Tranx 200. Another well made product good job Old18!!!
however, i wish i would have ordered one of them a bit firmer so i could compare the two.
This rod is my absolute go too for jigs and Heavy Texas rigs. Old18 has focused on feel and amazing function. Feel more bites and get more hookups. Strength and feel is an amazing combination.
I have several of the kenetic rods and they are all amazing. The 7'6 medium I'm going to use for medium to deep diving crankbaits. Going to get out on the water soon to see how it holds up to some bigs! Going to pair it up with a lews tournament reel.
