It's a beautiful rod that feels solid and fit for it's purpose in the hand. The craftmanship is very evident. I like everything about the grips, the texturing on the rod blank, the beautiful blue guide wraps and the gold trim. I like that the guides are a little bigger than some of the smaller micro guides I have on other rods. I have not had a chance to fish with it yet in January, but I added a reel and line and gave the line some pull. I was pleasantly suprised that there was minimal twist in the rod tip when I gave the line a good pull, simulating a fish on. This is much better than other light BFS rods I have that twist like crazy near the tip when you pull on them. Looking forward to throwing small jerkbaits for bass.
The Buoyancy line of rods is the lightest most sensitive rods I've ever felt. The 7 ft ultra light is not only light, but extremely powerful. I landed my biggest fish yet a 36" flat head. The most fun I've had yet. I've since purchased 4 more, and look forward to picking up some more.
My 1st old18 rod and have it paired up with the aldebaran bfs... already put a dz+ 14-15" crappies on it...tomorrow gonna put it on some stripers ! Waiting for the suppressor to come back in stock so i can grab that one up too !
Very light, well built and a good looking rod.
This is a killer rod for the price point! Premium product at a budget friendly price point. Super light weight and sensitive. I will be adding a second to the line up soon!
