Bait Finesse Fishing Rod of Ultimate quality.
The Buoyancy Micro Lure Series Rods were developed for anglers who love to throw the lightest of lures and bait. Built in the USA by Master Builder Jake Brewer and anchored on a premium modulus carbon blank. This combination gives maximum strength and feather weight. Buoyancy rods are works of art that can relay the lightest hits and yet fight the biggest fish. Only using the best components, it has 316 Alconite guides, Fuji SK2 reel seats, and a unique carbon fiber split grip that will give an incredible feel without slip. The Buoyancy's style is in a class of its own. Inspired by our wildly popular SEAL Legacy rod, the Buoyancy is wrapped in Blue & Gold with anodized gold accents. Insanely light and designed for all-day sight and precision strike casting, Buoyancy is a serious weapon for the fight.

I own several Old 18 rods including a few Suppressors. I bought my son a UL Buoyancy spinning rod as a gift last year and he really liked it so I figured I would try the 6'6" UL casting rod for my finesse bass fishing setup when I saw the latest price adjustments. Paired with my Aldebaran BFS reel I was able to throw unweighted 3" Senko's with ease. Rod strength was never a concern despite the potential for some big smallmouth but what impressed me the most was the casting trajectory. Roll casts, side arm and even overhead casts came off the rod low and accurate. Skipping has never been a strength for me, but the rod made it much easier to get underneath the canopy. Most of my BFS rods are extra fast action so I am guessing the "moderate fast" action on this rod just fits my style perfectly and has earned the title of my favorite UL BFS stick.
Outstanding rods , 2nd one in a different action
I haven't used it yet. I'm waiting for my reel to get repaired. The rod is light and I really like the feel of the rod.
Fishing ultralight in salt and fresh for as long as I remember. The old 18 suppressor is my go to for virtually all inshore and freshwater fishing. It can make a crappie fun and can horse in a trophy flounder. Truly a jack of all trades and for my kind of fishing a match made in heaven. If you are on the fence on getting one, get two.
Great rod. Very sensitive but strong. The responsiveness when setting the hook is top notch. I’m looking to buy another one asap.
I haven’t received the rod that I ordered. I think the problem may be on the shipping service. The only reason for the negative review is that I attempted to contact Old 18 twice on the issue and have yet to receive a response.
