These boys can make rods for the Texas Gulf Coast like the old 18 stood up… just buy them.
Used it for the first time yesterday morning at my local lake and paired it with the Bates Goat 150, 20 lb J Braid Grand. It casts like a charm. Love the cork for that traditional look too. Did a little trolling with the Kayak and took a couple nice stripers.
awesome rod, very easy to handle and sensitive. Great for the jetties
I love old18 rods!! Shipping was extremely fast!!
Been doing some trout fishing with it haven't caught anything but rod feels and cast great. Very happy with the rod.
Very well made, balanced. Paired with a SEVIIN GW3000 reel.
7'6" medium have a quite a few kinetic old 18 rods...power rating as advertised is off on this one..more like 3/8 oz - 3/4 oz medium+ even dipping into medium heavy..not what I was looking for but kept it anyways..would be good for snook/bull reds and a big jig or popping cork..plugs also.
I have two kinetic rods, one casting and one spinning. Will now only buy old18 rods
There’s not enough good I can say about them, just buy them and see for yourself .
