Kinetic - 6'6" Ultra Light Casting Mod-Fast
I just can't believe how well this rod does with reds, trout and flounder!
I am royal and usually stick with one brand (Abu), but since they didn’t have any BFS specific rod that are within my budget, I decided to give Kinetic a try. Man, this rod is very sensitive and can easily cast 1/16oz with any BFS reels. I haven’t tested the rod for lighter lures, but I have no doubt it will handle 1/32oz. I have no regret buying Kinetic and would love to expand my BFS arsenal with other Old18 rods.
Saw the deal and had to grab a couple more. Great rods for performance and price. Going to have to order a few more rod socks!
I’ve been using a heck of a lot of Old 18 rods going back to the beginning like the Ambush, Hollow Point, Ascent, Kinetic, Suppressor and now this Buoyancy….I’ve got to say this is one heck of a rod! My first time out with it, I landed a 30” Red and it handled it like an absolute BOSS! I landed him with the Medium-Light, Mod-Fast.
Pairs great with my Aldebaran, lightweight and sensitive combo. If there was any negative, which really is preference, the grip on the end would be a split instead of 1 peice. Hope there will be a 6’ version!
Haven't used it yet due to winter but really excited and can't wait to fish it feels reallllly nice too
