My experience with Old 18 began by purchasing a "Hollow Point" series rod several years ago. The rod performed, was durable and was a solid value at a price of around $150. I purchased a couple more and eventually invested in a "Suppressor" series rod. The first time I used a "Suppressor" rod, I felt as though I had never had the benefit of actually feeling my bait, it's action and being able to make my bait perform as I needed it to. Since then, I am a true believer in the Suppressor rods made by Old 18. I own several in numerous different strengths and actions and they have helped me place "in the money" during my tournament efforts throughout the Gulf Coast. I will continue to use these rods in my tournament efforts as well as when Im guiding clients on inshore kayak charters. These are great rods and well worth every penny!

This rod is great for fishing a Texas rig worm. I'm sure it will be good for other techniques as well. It's light in the hand and well balanced. Another great rod from Old18!
Amazing weight, sensitivity and strength. Felt every bump and can still handle a 26” redfish with ease.
I have purchased multiple rods from this company. I am very pleased with the quality.
Purchased rod to replace my Ambush that broke while fishing. I wanted a bit more length so I went with the 7'3 Ascent. Unfortunately it is only available as a Medium-Fast. Given the price point, I figured it would still be a light and superior rod with great casting ability compared to the Ambush I had. I used it for the 1st time today and the rod is significantly heavier than the Ambush and also much less sensitive to strikes. Not the right rod for me. This is the most expensive rod I have ever purchased and is now my least favorite. I fish the Bays/Flats with light tackle.
The rod feels very comfortable.in hand, the sensitivity is right up there with my NRX. and the casting is great!! Iam using this rod for small jigs fishing for bass and I can feel everything on the bottom, a bluegill bite feels like a giant fish!!! The rod has become my favorite!!!
