Suppressor - 7'0" Medium Light Casting Fast

I picked up this Medium Light Fast action rod at the Houston Fishing Show after talking with Mark from MDLR Fishing. They did have a discount for buying at the show, but found the same discount online while the show was going on. I was able to take the rod out for a “test drive” the next day after getting a reel on it. I was truly amazed at the first cast! The Suppressor launched my little Buggs 1/4 ounce Flats Bug further than I have ever been able to cast! The feeling was crazy! I felt like I could almost count the individual oysters in the oyster bar. The connection that the Suppressor gives you to the lure and the water was unsurpassed! I felt like I jumped from a weekend warrior to being on the leader board of a pro tournament in the blink of an eye! This rod has changed my fishing game dramatically! This rod is what fishing is supposed to be! I am extremely excited and honored to now be a member of the Old 18 family! Now just waiting on my tax return to increase my arsenal with or without a sale price! More than worth every hard earned penny, oops, I guess we cant’t say that anymore. More than worth every hard earned nickel!!

Love the rod, I have paired with Abu Garcia Revo Premier LP Casting Reel and you can feel any bite. Best combo set I own! There’s no other combo I have that is this good! Rod holds up to any fish in the marsh

Rod looks and performs great!

I have probably 20 different rod manufacturers in my garage and since I've played with the old18 rods I am dead set on swapping all of them for an old18 variant. The build quality and feel is just awesome. Well worth the money!
