Great rods, I will definitely order this going forward, as of now my favorite rods, great deals to. Thank you Old 18.
My ultra light fishing rod is exactly what i wanted !! I give it a 10++ , I will be looking for a ultralight/med from y’all soon, i am on disability and can not afford these rods at the price but maybe 1 every year or two, great product !! I just cant afford every month
Ultra light power can't wait to get it out on the water
The Kinetic rods are awesome! I would recommend these rods to anyone who’s shopping on a budget. Best bang for your buck!
I had bought the baitcast a couple of weeks ago. I was so impressed that I bought the matching spincast. 7ft med-lite. I have arthritis in both hands and the lightness of the rods are incredible. Somedays I need to switch from baitcast to soincast depends on the pain. But these rods are a perfect fit for me to fish all day long.
Nice craftsmanship and very impressed with the performance. The only thing I was disappointed in was the bottom cap of the rod was offset significantly. Other than that I would definitely like to add more rods eventually. This purchase was for a technique.
Not to be disrespectful to the gentleman that commented on the rods being fast and not mod-fast as labeled...I've built rods for a very long time and all of the (5) old 18 rods I have are spot on to line weight/power ratings 💯..that being said I use these for flounder fishing on a big sand flat by my house and they are the best "Budget" rod I have ever used and trump rods/blanks I have payed big money for..the sensitivity for the price point is absolutely ridiculous...I can feel the tick/heaviness of a flounder bite on the end of a very long cast...my whole rod building journey/rod buying journey is/was to find the perfect blank/rod for me and the 7'6" ml it just flat gets it done regardless of price point...plz keep in mind just my opinion rods are very personal/specific to the end user..my journey stops here @old18 god bless 🙏
Comparing this rod to the Old 18 UL Suppressor and Buoyancy, the fit and finish isn’t quite as fancy (foam grip, number of guides). But, make no mistake, this rod kicks butt. Pair it with a decent BFS reel and it flat out delivers. Mine started with an old Zephyr but recently upgraded to an SS Air BFS from Digitaka. Rod/reel combos slings 1/16 oz lures as far as you like and the sensitivity is solid. Great rod, you won’t be disappointed. 👍🏼
