Knighthawk- 6'6" Medium Light Casting Mod-Fast
Always thought rods were basically the same after the $100 mark, boy was I wrong. This thing launches and it's sooo sensitive. Love this purchase, I'll have to get a heavy to replace my Duckett ASAP! Amazingly light and perfectly balanced I knew it was going to be amazing when I first took it out of the box and it's yet to disappoint!
I have fished with the 6 1/2’ Knighthawk ML casting rod several times and it’s a great rod, design quality is top notch. Some rods are too fast, and bend only across a short distance of the blank, but this one is more moderate and I like that because the stress on the blank is more evenly distributed. Plus it bends nicely on small and average sized bass, which is what I wanted. This is a very fun and sensitive rod to fish, handle grip is longer than most split grip rods out there, which is good because heel of my hand doesn’t hang over the edge like on some rods with shorter grips. The 8-10 lb. line size is perfect for my kind of fishing, this rod casts 1/8 to 1/4 oz lures very accurately. It’s among my favorite casting rods I own, and works well for bait finesse too.
Commando - 7'0" Ultra Light BFS Casting Mod-Fast
I have several custom rods & multiple high end brands like Expride & Adrenas. These rods are just as good if not better. In my opinion the tips are a lil more sensitive than most especially when it comes to casting. My first fish caught on it was a 9.43lb largemouth & it really handled it well. I will definitely be purchasing more.
I wanna start my review by saying I have broken on of these before but it was completely my fault. Other than that it handles anything I throw at it. For an ultralight its gotta have one of the most robust back bones on the market. Ultra sensitive and responsive tip so you feel bites and can work your smallest lures no problem. Wouldn't be surprised if you could throw a fly on these things. Biggest fish on the ultralight was a 20-25lb koi caught and released i just under 20 minutes. Please only buy from these guys right here. Support local and veteran owned business. They deserve every bit of! And dont even get me started on their customer service!! Broke your rod? Bought my first one. Ordered 2 more! Awesome rods
I have a Boyance and the feel of the Commando is almost as good....the grip is not as comfortable, but for the price it's hard to beat
