Amazing rod will be buying more! Only issue I had was by the time it arrived at my house the eyes were bent, once they were fixed I tested out the rod and fell in love with how light and sensitive it was.
This rod handles the 6th Sense Draw very well. I expect it will also be good for the Alabama rig as well. Also, I believe it will be great for big swimbaits such as the Megabass Magdraft. I haven't caught any fish in it yet, but I'm sure it'll handle fish fabulously as do All of my other Old18 rods.
Great rod with Shimano FX under popping cork.
Very sensitive to the bite, and powerful enough to pull in 45lb+ Big Bull Reds!
Surprisingly light but also surprisingly strong! Love both my Old18 rods.
This is my second Ascent spinning rod. I mainly use it while wade fishing. It’s been a game changer for me in getting fish into the net. Great backbone and sensitive tip to feel the slightest nibbles.
This ultra light BSF rod is my second one, I’m anxious to try them both out and test the differences. They feel the same as they should, both are light, fast and are 2-8#. These rods will cast 1.5 g’s very close to the same distance but I did however put my best BFS reel on my “Old 18”.
I’ll do a more in-depth review with the boat back in the water.
BTW “Old 18” has a great customer service, we had a shipping problem, and it was resolved as quick as possible. The fit and finish rivals the best so I purchased another rod from “Old 18”.
