The Buoyancy Series is developed for anglers who love to throw micro lures. Master builder Jake Brewer has created a work of art that can relay the lightest hits and yet fight the biggest fish. It's made right here in the USA and is built on a premium modulus, 30+40 ton carbon mixed blank that gives more strength over the ones incorporated in our previous BFS rods. Only using the best components, there are eleven titanium guides, plus the twelfth as the tip, with the hardest zirconian inserts, and a unique carbon fiber split grip that will give an incredible feel without slip. The Buoyancy style is in a class of its own. Inspired by our wildly popular SEAL Legacy rod, the Buoyancy is wrapped in Blue & Gold with anodized gold accents. Insanely light and designed for all-day sight casting, Buoyancy is a serious weapon for the fight.

The Buoyancy series is in high demand. If the status is 'Out of Stock' then we do not have enough components to build more at this time, or we are building a new batch. We are constantly building new ones when we have the components and it can take 2-3 weeks. Please use the 'Notify Me' button for the fastest "in stock" notification. We appreciate your patience.

Awesome rod

Love my new Buoyancy rod. Prettiest rod I’ve ever owned. Amazing feel for a rod with ultralight action. Will buy another one.

Buoyancy UL

Was hesitant on this rod because of the steep price but pulled the trigger on it and when I got it I was skeptical about it because I'm used to smaller 4 foot to 5 foot stream trout bfs rods which are way lighter, but after slapping on my real and fishing this rod I won't be using my other bfs rods, this rod looks and feels amazing, my hand and wrist do not tire at all casting for hours, and the sensitivity on this rod out performs my other rods. Absolutely love the handle and action. Definitely buying another when I can

I'll be using your rods often

I am glad I gave the Buoyancy Ultra Light a try. Taken it fishing twice in the environment where I mainly intended to use it and caught fish near both ends of the spectrum that I wanted an Ultra Light casting rod for. Fish ranged from 4-5" spotted sunfish to a bluegill that was approximately 12" and 1 pound. The rod was great for both. The small 4-5" fish were able to keep a consistent bend in the blank, which I appreciate. And the rod didn't feel too flimsy or overpowered by the big bluegill and it was a lot of fun to catch. I'm not specifically searching for fish much larger than 2 pounds for this rod and I usually fish around submerged trees, and I believe now that it will be great for what I want. Casts 1/8oz spoons very well. The only reel I've used with it so far is a Shimano Calcutta 50B, and with 4lb Ande monofilament line, I can cast over 30 yards when I want to get more distance, but in most scenarios I won't need to cast that far. I live in Florida and was searching the internet specifically for USA made or distributors of Ultra Light casting rods but it took a while for me to find Old18, even though Texas isn't relatively that far away. I'm glad I found Old18, and I hope this helps more people have confidence in buying this rod.

Exceeds Expectations.

It's light and well made. I haven't been able to use it yet. I don't have a reel to pair it with yet.
