I purchased this rod as part of a sale because if a broken rod guide on a triumph. I paired it with a Stradic for light inshore use and was surprised at how light and nice it felt in the hand, balanced well with the 3k size reel, it also felt like I was casting farther and I’m not a huge distance guy. Only have a couple of trips out of it but it’s a great rod so far, will look in to the other models as well.
Used my new knighthawk twice. Gosh I love this rod. Caught an over slot sea trout and snook with a mirrodine with it, light, accurate and sensitive. Line pours out of the guides like silk. Plenty of backbone.
Absolutely love this rod. Its definently helped me decide what company to switch over to in terms of quality.
Cant wait to showcase other rods on my channel.
Swapping all my rods over to old-9
Great packaging. Well made! Great colors. Strong feel to it!
A great rod went out and caught a nice 23” black drum on it first day out it handled the fight well and has served me well
The 7'3 medium heavy suppressor is an absolute dream to fish with. The lightness, sensitivity, comfortability, makes this rod a must have.I own G Loomis,St.Croix,Daiwa, Shimano rods, but I always seem to pick up my suppressor!I had to buy a second one!A great rod for all around techniques....an absolute blast to fish with!
Beast of a rod casts a mile and length with plenty of backbone to pull in hogs at the jetty! Highly recommended!!!
I own a number of rods from different manufacturers. The Old 18 is at the top of the list for weight, sensitivity, and strength. I’m thinking of buying another one just like this one.
It is a great rod just what i needed it for
