A great rod went out and caught a nice 23” black drum on it first day out it handled the fight well and has served me well
Great action, light weight and hyper sensitive. 6’9” medium light extra fast is an excellent choice for trout and redfish!
Super light rod, super high quality

Amazing rod beautifully crafted
Rod builder 15 years..have a few 18 rods and have had and built them all..have rod snob friends 😉these rods are fantastic period...I beat the 💩 out of them...no failures..what you get for what you pay phenomenal.
I think this one is number 20 of My old 18 rod collection with 21 and 22 still on the way with another Buoyancy Light Spinning and Midnight Ultralight casting. The Midnights are paired with Bates Hundo LTS reels and this Buoyancy and the one coming are paired with ne Shimano 2025 Sustain FK reels. I use all of my Old 18 collection in both fresh and salt, for bass on my local lakes and especially the "smallies" on the Susquehanna River here in PA As well as on the shallow flats of the Chesapeake Bay in MD and VA for chasing Reds and Specs as well as our infamous Rockfish (Stripers). But fret not, I am a native Texan who grew up on the Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast fishing the same waters of those two psychos, MDLR and RX Angler, Most importantly, I am a veteran and fully support Veteran run buisnesses.
I absolutely love this rod, it is very light and sensitive but still strong enough to bring in big fish, it is my 3rd Old18 rod and this is my go to the most, light for casting all day with no problems, I love that Old18 is Veteran owned and made in Texas.
