I have a matching pair of these rods and they are the ultimate rod for BFS crankbaits. I have caught 5lb catfish and 5lb bass and they handled them great. You can place your bait with precision with these rods. BFS is my go to method on the very pressured lake that I fish and these rods are the real deal,
Enjoyed casting 1/32 and 1/16 all day on this setup. Really fantastic rod with a pretty solid backbone. Landed a 7lb striper the other day while crappie fishing. Took some time but was able to bring her in with some patience.
Can't say enough good things about this fishing rod. I absolutely love throwing it as do my envious friends! This rod gives me the ability to actually cast 1/16 oz lures a reasonable distance and how it performs with a 1/8 oz lure is unquestioningly, as good as it gets!
When it comes to rod sensitivity, I honestly don't know how it could be improved. The smallest of bumps, nudges and touches will be felt through this rod giving me an advantage in quicker hook sets and/or hook sets requiring a greater degree of finesse.
The rods light weight makes it comfortable for long periods of casting and although the rod is light in weight and offers great sensitivity, it has had more than enough "backbone" to properly hook, play, catch and release numerous 28 inch + redfish!
Bravo Zulu!
I was skeptical at first, but probably one of the best BFS rod I owned so far. Very satisfied and highly recommended!
Great Action
The weight of the rod is nice
Paired up with a Shimano Curadro Bfs xg reel .. Oh yes.
Looking forward to purchasing a Buoyancy Ultralight Casting Rod ..
