It's made right here in the USA and is built on a premium modulus, 30+24 ton carbon mixed blank that gives more strength over the ones incorporated in our previous BFS rods. Only using the best components, it has titanium guides with the hardest zirconian inserts, and a unique carbon fiber split grip that will give an incredible feel without slip. The Buoyancy style is in a class of its own. Inspired by our wildly popular SEAL Legacy rod, the Buoyancy is wrapped in Blue & Gold with anodized gold accents. Confusion

I made a change from the 7' to 6'6" the day of the order and got a confirmation email that the change was made. I received the rod a short time later and it was the 7' rod. I shipped the rod back and asked for a confirmation of receipt and a courtesy email when the 6'6" was shipped and I haven't heard back.. except for a review request for the 7' rod.. that was sent back.

I am not mad or disappointed with the rod or company for that matter. Just confused as to whether Old 18 received and/or shipped the rods.

Update on this rod

I have the Suppressor with the same specs but this top end is much softer.I have not thrown any micro lures mostly weightless plastics and small crankbaits. I had been waiting to catch a decent size bass to see how the rod really performs. It passed with flying colors. I am very happy with this rod.

Heavy and Expensive Rod

Purchased rod to replace my Ambush that broke while fishing. I wanted a bit more length so I went with the 7'3 Ascent. Unfortunately it is only available as a Medium-Fast. Given the price point, I figured it would still be a light and superior rod with great casting ability compared to the Ambush I had. I used it for the 1st time today and the rod is significantly heavier than the Ambush and also much less sensitive to strikes. Not the right rod for me. This is the most expensive rod I have ever purchased and is now my least favorite. I fish the Bays/Flats with light tackle.

Very nice Rod

The rod feels very comfortable.in hand, the sensitivity is right up there with my NRX. and the casting is great!! Iam using this rod for small jigs fishing for bass and I can feel everything on the bottom, a bluegill bite feels like a giant fish!!! The rod has become my favorite!!!
