The Buoyancy Series is developed for anglers who love to throw micro lures. Master builder Jake Brewer has created a work of art that can relay the lightest hits and yet fight the biggest fish. It's made right here in the USA and is built on a premium modulus, 30+24 ton carbon mixed blank that gives more strength over the ones incorporated in our previous micro lure models. Only using the best components, it has titanium guides with the hardest zirconian inserts, and a unique carbon fiber split grip that will give an incredible feel without slip. The Buoyancy style is in a class of its own. Inspired by our wildly popular SEAL Legacy rod, the Buoyancy is wrapped in Blue & Gold with anodized gold accents. Insanely light and designed for all-day sight casting, Buoyancy is a serious weapon for the fight.

Have my UL Buoyancy paired with a Bates Hundo. By far the lightest and most sensitive rod I’ve had but still has the backbone to haul in big reds.
Exactly what I expected, absolutely perfect, do your research this is how you run a business!
Beautiful rod. Paired it with the Kastking Kestral (we can discuss that choice). Overall an extremely light and well balanced rig. A blast to fight fish on.
asked for a call back from old18 still waiting on someone to call me ?? gingerly amazing catching pan fish w the rod
I was looking for a lighter action tip for BFS bass/crappie/trout and the Buoyancy was the perfect match.
Great rod with Shimano FX under popping cork.
Very sensitive to the bite, and powerful enough to pull in 45lb+ Big Bull Reds!
Surprisingly light but also surprisingly strong! Love both my Old18 rods.
This is my second Ascent spinning rod. I mainly use it while wade fishing. It’s been a game changer for me in getting fish into the net. Great backbone and sensitive tip to feel the slightest nibbles.
This ultra light BSF rod is my second one, I’m anxious to try them both out and test the differences. They feel the same as they should, both are light, fast and are 2-8#. These rods will cast 1.5 g’s very close to the same distance but I did however put my best BFS reel on my “Old 18”.
I’ll do a more in-depth review with the boat back in the water.
BTW “Old 18” has a great customer service, we had a shipping problem, and it was resolved as quick as possible. The fit and finish rivals the best so I purchased another rod from “Old 18”.
