The Buoyancy Series is developed for anglers who love to throw micro lures. Master builder Jake Brewer has created a work of art that can relay the lightest hits and yet fight the biggest fish. It's made right here in the USA and is built on a premium modulus, 30+40 ton carbon mixed blank that gives more strength over the ones incorporated in our previous BFS rods. Only using the best components, there are eleven titanium guides, plus the twelfth as the tip, with the hardest zirconian inserts, and a unique carbon fiber split grip that will give an incredible feel without slip. The Buoyancy style is in a class of its own. Inspired by our wildly popular SEAL Legacy rod, the Buoyancy is wrapped in Blue & Gold with anodized gold accents. Insanely light and designed for all-day sight casting, Buoyancy is a serious weapon for the fight.

The Buoyancy series is in high demand. If the status is 'Out of Stock' then we do not have enough components to build more at this time, or we are building a new batch. We are constantly building new ones when we have the components and it can take 2-3 weeks. Nice Rod

This is my first rod from Old 18. I don't think it will be the last. This is also my first BFS rod, and it fits the bill quite nicely. I have a Diawa Alphas Air on the road and that light reel balances great on this rod. Rod is really light weight and is finished nicely. I have thrown a 3/32 hair jig on the rod and it handles the light weight with no problem. So far I have caught a catfish, drum, and a couple of smallmouth on the rod while throwing the hair jig. Rod handled the fish with no problem and light action makes the fight fun. For BFS fishing with this rod though, I would say, learn to tie a FG knot. The guides are small, but not micro. With 8lb braid and an 8lb leader connected with an Alberto knot the knot sometimes will catch just enough on a guide to cause a backlash on the BFS reel. This is a very nice rod though, and I look forward to using it for a long time.

Ultralite

I have a Kastking Kestrel with 6 lbs floro on this.
Put a 1/16 oz jig head on and changed it to 1/8 oz. Acting much better.
Put a Keitech paddle tail on, 3.5 inch crystal shad color.
First day out caught 3 , 2 1/2 +pound smallmouth, which is big for my lake.
Round bent nicely when they ran under the boat.
It held up nicely and I am happy with it.

This is best rid I've owned like it even better than my sarge custom rods i own and price was about half the price and has more titanium guides and carbon fiber grips vs eva foam grips. You get your money's worth then some and best part they a veteran owned company company and all products are made in united states money helps multiple usa companys and money states here to create more usa jobs is best thing.

Awesome rod

Love my new Buoyancy rod. Prettiest rod I’ve ever owned. Amazing feel for a rod with ultralight action. Will buy another one.
