Great rod great build quality has plenty of back bone for boat flippin those 10 pounders
Order was recieved in 2 days, packaged very well. One of the lightest and most balanced rods I've ever used. Feels great in my hands and loads up great.
The Ballistic 7'4 is an amazing all around cranking rod. I mainly use mine for Medium to Deep diving cranks.
Keeps bass pinned with deep hooksets.
Launches baits like a dream.
I've also used the 7'4 for chatterbaits and works well for then also.
I kept this rod in my hand all day throwing a DT10, catching good fish. I got 2nd place in a tournament. It will make you a winner. A great cranking rod!
It is the best crankbait rod I have had in my hands! I highly recommend it if you love to throw a ton of crankbaits!!
Purchase and shipping, rods well built.Well worth the price. I purchased 2 rods, both 7'6" a medium lite and a medium both are supposed to be Mod fast. Neither are both are very fast and don't have much flex past the top 3 guides including the tip.I didnt want a whippie blank but was hoping Mod fast to have more parabolic
Are they the best? Nope! Is it just another company that makes rods? Yes! Are they worth the price? Nope! It’s just another decent rod nothing to brag about.
This rod performs just as well as it looks! Shipping was very quick, less than a week from order to at my door! I’ve used this rod on 5 trips since I got it and have caught about 20 fish with it. Paired it with a Bates Goat 150 reel. This thing is a tank,no problem horsing 4+ pounders out of thick hydroplane or pads. Super sensitive and light enough to use all day if needed. Will definitely be buying more Old18 rods in the future. 🤙🏽
It's a beautiful rod that feels solid and fit for it's purpose in the hand. The craftmanship is very evident. I like everything about the grips, the texturing on the rod blank, the beautiful blue guide wraps and the gold trim. I like that the guides are a little bigger than some of the smaller micro guides I have on other rods. I have not had a chance to fish with it yet in January, but I added a reel and line and gave the line some pull. I was pleasantly suprised that there was minimal twist in the rod tip when I gave the line a good pull, simulating a fish on. This is much better than other light BFS rods I have that twist like crazy near the tip when you pull on them. Looking forward to throwing small jerkbaits for bass.
I bought this rod for a big bait rod, and it works well. Caught a bass while I was still setting up the rod. :-) I’m sure it was a the rod that did that.
